Riverland Community College says the lockdown at the Austin campus was lifted around 10:07 am Thursday.

UPDATE: Austin Police Chief Dave McKichan has issued the following statement:

"Our agency is aware of the reports of a lockdown at Riverland’s Austin campus. We are not aware of any active, ongoing, or past action physical issues at that property this morning. We are of the understand that this lockdown is precautionary on their part. We will have staff work with them to investigate the original cause of concern. We have also contacted our School Resource Officers to have them check in with the school district to see if they have any concerns.
