CONWAY, SC. -- Conway, which will soon change its name to The City of Halloween for October, is finishing up its last touches before hundreds of people from across the state and country make their way to spooky filled town.

City spokeswoman June Wood said this year the city has the most events and its ever had. This year's theme for the festivities being The Wizard of Oz with the roads painted yellow for the yellow brick road, orchard apple trees and event surprise figurines with mayor Barbara Blain-Bellamy.

“We have over 200 events right now planned for the city of Conway. Everything from costume parades. Live music, movies. There are so many different things that people can choose from," she said. "We have the tornado that comes through in the Wizard of Oz...we have the flying monkeys,
