Irondequoit Town Justice and local attorney Brian P. Green has been appointed as Monroe County’s next District Attorney, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Thursday.

“Over the last several years, Monroe County has seen tremendous progress in reducing crime and improving safety,” Hochul said in a news release. “It is absolutely necessary that we have someone in this role who will continue these efforts during this crucial time. That’s why I am appointing Brian Green as the next District Attorney in Monroe County.”
