After failing to receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the layout plan of the mosque to be built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation has begun the process of re-drafting a new design proposal based on Awadhi and local architecture.

This new design will be submitted to the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) for the NOC very soon.

A trust member stated here on Thursday that the mosque will be designed keeping in mind the sentiments of the local community and population. Although the decision to submit the new design was made last year, no action has been taken with the local development authority to approve the old building plan.
