SEYMOUR, Ind. — A southern Indiana fire department is offering an award for information on an active arson investigation.
The Seymour Fire Department is investigating a fire that occurred in a "suspicious nature" on Sept. 18 in the 700 block of West Oak Street in Seymour, Indiana.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and determined the home was vacant, according to a Seymour Fire social media post.
Seymour Fire Department is working with the Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office. Investigators believe the fire was incendiary and the incident has officially been classified as arson.
The Seymour Fire Department is urging anyone with information about this fire or suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
