Israel launched airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa on Thursday, killing two people, in response to a drone attack that struck an Israeli resort, according to the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
Israeli forces struck several Houthi-linked targets in the rebel-held capital, warning of more attacks to come, said Israeli officials. Houthi spokesman Anees Alasbahi provided a preliminary toll of two dead and 48 wounded.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said that Israel had “just dealt a powerful blow to numerous terror targets of the Houthi terror organisation in Sanaa" and eliminated dozens of terror operatives and destroyed stockpiles of drones and other weaponry.
