It’s cheap, tasty and very popular among hungry college students, but some doctors say children are getting severe burns from cooking instant noodles.
Shriners Children’s Hospital in Boston said the issue is coming from a TikTok trend.
“I’m on TikTok a lot, so I see a lot of the trends,” Gavin Mangini, of West Hartford, Connecticut, said.
Trends he scrolls through on the app, including those that involve instant noodles.
“They’re very good at appealing the audience, and I do eat ramen myself,” Mangini said.
