Fall is officially here, and fishing is starting to be a slug-fest.

This is a segment of the year that often boasts some of the best fishing for active mature feeders. Live bait is now back to being a staple on most trips; however, don't overlook reaction-type lures like cranks, tubes, plastics and hardbodies.

As of this report, water temperatures are now in the lower 60s, and we will soon start to see temperatures in the 50s. This week has had cooler overnights with lots of misty/cloudy/foggy conditions. We are just starting to flirt with canopy tree-tops changing colors, which means the shorelines are still thick with trees holding leaves. Each day, we will start to see more and more change.
