Chris Davies expects Alex Cochrane to be cleared to take his place in Birmingham City’s defence against Coventry on Saturday.

The left-back was withdrawn with a concussion injury late in Blues’ 1-0 victory over Swansea City last weekend.

Concussion protocols require clubs to follow a strict plan with their players and Cochrane appears to be winning his race.

Speaking before Blues make the short trip to the CBS Arena to take on Coventry, Davies said of Cochrane: “He’s gone through all the processes that he needs to. It’s obviously ongoing with that but I believe he’ll be available.”

Davies also provided a positive update on the condition of winger Keshi Anderson who hasn’t featured since August.
