President Droupadi Murmu visited Mathura and Vrindavan on Thursday, offering prayers at several prominent temples during her day-long stay.
The President performed darshan and pooja at Shri Banke Bihari Temple, Nidhivan, Sudama Kuti, Kubja Krishna Mandir, and Shri Krishna Janmasthan. She arrived in Vrindavan from Delhi by a special train.
The visit held special significance as it coincided with the centenary celebrations of the Shri Nabha Krishna Sudama Kuti Ashram. The Mahant of the Ashram had invited the President, and preparations are underway to establish a Ram Darbar at the site. During her visit, President Murmu also met saints and sages for about 20 minutes.
