CLEVELAND — Rayshon Reese, the man indicted for kidnapping and attacking a woman with a box cutter at a bus stop in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood, has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

According to court records, the 50-year-old Reese agreed to plead guilty to one count of kidnapping and one count of attempted murder. Prosecutors dropped two charges of felonious assault and will not impose additional punishment under the repeat violent offender specification.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge David Matia will sentence Reese on Oct. 16.

Investigators say that on April 15 at 5:03 a.m., a 59-year-old woman was waiting at a bus stop near West 25th Street and Detroit Avenue in Ohio City.
