ARLINGTON, Texas — Six Flags Over Texas, in Arlington, will soon be the site of a "record-breaking, adrenaline-pumping roller coaster," Six Flags announced in a press release.

Tormenta Ramaging Run, the tallest, fastest and longest-ever "giga dive coaster" will open in 2026, according to the press release. The roller coaster will break six world records and is themed after the Spanish tradition of the running of the bulls, the release states.

The coaster will bring riders up to a height of 309 feet before plunging them into a record-breaking, 95-degree "beyond vertical drop," according to the release. Many of the records broken are specific to dive coasters, which are characterized as having near-vertical drops and trains that are not enclosed and sometimes leave your feet dangling.
