A New Jersey man was sentenced to eight years in prison for the overdose death of a friend to whom he supplied drugs at a Bergen County motel, authorities said Thursday.

Alberto Delgado, 45, of Bloomfield, gave fentanyl and cocaine to 54-year-old Luke Revell while the two were at a motel in Lyndhurst, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police were called shortly before noon on Nov. 11, 2023, to the motel in the 200 block of Rutherford Avenue, where they found Revell unresponsive.

Revell was found face down on the carpet in a room and drug paraphernalia was scattered on the floor, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

Revell, of Jersey City, was pronounced dead at the scene.
