Not every trip home comes with a smile. The NFL quarterback, Ben DiNucci , knows that better than most. Last month, during roster cuts, the Atlanta Falcons let the 28-year-old go. That marked the seventh time in his career an NFL team had cut him. So yes, when it was finally time for him to head back home, it wasn’t exactly a “welcome back” kind of moment.

“ Not many beers better than the airport ‘I just got cut from the NFL for the 7th time’ beer ,” DiNucci wrote on X. “ Trust me, you wouldn’t understand .” Fast forward to now, almost Week 4 of the 2025 season, and the former Cowboys signal-caller is making his way back to the league. Only this time, he won’t be taking snaps under the center, or even hitting the practice field for that matter.
