More information is being released regarding the alleged shooter who appeared to target U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, fatally killing one and wounding two others in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said in a press release that a sniper opened fire “indiscriminately” from a rooftop at a nearby ICE Dallas field office and van where the victims were shot.
The suspected gunman was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to the press release, shell casings were discovered with “Anti-ICE” engraved on them. The federal department is calling the incident a targeted attack on law enforcement.
