SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - An investigation is underway after state prisoner Kaleb Lukkes was found unresponsive in his cell on September 23.

Lukkes was serving a sentence for aggravated assault at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.

South Dakota DCI confirmed they are “aggressively investigating” Lukkes’ death.
