ALEDO, Ill. (KWQC) - The Mercer County Schools superintendent ordered a school nurse to turn over confidential vaccine information about students, according to court records.
The records show that Superintendent Timothy Farquer, 53, used the info to compile a database, which he then shared with unauthorized people.
Police say the incident happened on Sept. 1.
Farquer and two district employees, Amberly Norton, 41, and Andrea Long, 41, and Farquer appeared in court Thursday on charges of:
Unauthorized access to medical records, a misdemeanor
Computer tampering, a misdemeanor
Felony official misconduct
Norton will be released with conditions later Thursday. In court said she will hire an attorney. Her next court appearance is Oct. 7. Paperwork for Farquer and Long has not yet been fil
