FOXBORO — The Patriots have a difficult decision to make this week with a longtime veteran starter.
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson had one of the best games of his career in the Patriots’ Week 2 win then went on to lose two fumbles in vital situations Sunday in a 21-14 loss to the Steelers.
The Patriots can do one of three things this week against the Panthers: They can continue to start Stevenson and play him like usual, they can dress him but deploy him as a third option behind rookie TreVeyon Henderson and veteran Antonio Gibson, or they can make him a healthy scratch and elevate Terrell Jennings from the practice squad as a third running back.
