Parts of Exeter have been left 'bathed in smoke' following a fire.

Locals have noticed smoke in the Exeter and St Davids area of the city this evening.

It's understood that a bonfire caused smoke to blow across the river.

An eyewitness said: "A fire has left Exwick/St Davids bathed in smoke.

"One fire engine there.

"Looks like a bonfire that had got out of hand. Was generating a lot of local interest."
