ALLEN PARK -- Every team in the NFL expects its wide receivers and skill players to block. But not many do it as well as the Detroit Lions.

It showed up in a big way against the Baltimore Ravens this past week, too. Wideout Jameson Williams was hustling downfield, doing his best to clear a path for running back David Montgomery’s clinching touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Kalif Raymond were in the trenches on Montgomery’s 72-yard run, taking on linebackers with a fearless mentality. On the first touchdown of the game, St. Brown motioned over to help lead the way for running back Jahmyr Gibbs in a short-yardage situation.

Raymond told 97.1 The Ticket that after watching the film, he texted St. Brown: “You maniac, that’s a linebacker!”
