PHILADELPHIA — After learning early Wednesday afternoon that the Eagles would be without starting edge rusher Nolan Smith for at least the next month, the injury news didn’t get any better once they reached the practice field.
Three starters, including both inside linebackers, were unable to practice ahead of the Eagles’ Week 4 game Sunday against the Buccaneers down in Tampa.
All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun was on the practice field with a bulky brace on his left knee Wednesday, but when the first injury report of the week was released he was listed as not practicing. So, too, was rookie first-round pick Jihaad Campbell , the Eagles’ other starter at linebacker. He is dealing with a triceps injury.
