A then-teenager accused of fleeing to Mexico after fatally shooting a Texas Southern University student in 2005 has been extradited to Houston, the Harris County District Attorney's Office announced this week.

Luis Uriel Castillo, now 39 years old, faces a murder charge and is being held at the Harris County Jail on a $1 million bond, court records show. He is accused of killing Cornelius Ray, a 24-year-old man who was found dead in his southeast Houston apartment with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
