PORTAGE, Wis. (WKOW) – Details of the separation agreement reached between the Portage Police Department and a former officer, who has been criminally charged, were made clear following a 27 News open records request.
Former officer Cameron Coronado left his role at the police department following criminal charges accusing him of physical abuse of his child on August 16.
Portage Police Chief Keith Klafke announced in a news conference on August 22 that the department and Coronado reached a formal agreement on August 21.
“Cameron is no longer an employee with the city of Portage," Klafke said at the August 22 news conference.
