Officials are reporting that 911 and emergency administration lines are currently offline across Mississippi due to an outage. For the time being, the public is being directed to local law enforcement and other authorities for emergency calls.
The outage, which authorities say they are currently working with telecommunications giant AT&T to resolve, affects both routine and emergency calls. Officials have not yet provided a timeline for when services will be resolved.
Mississippi Emergency Management Agency spokesperson Scott Simmons confirmed the outage stems from the damaged lines. Repair crews are in the process of rect
