BANGOR -- Throughout the week we've highlighted a couple inductees from Sunday's Maine Sports Hall of Fame ceremony, and today's subject is someone who's work you may have read as recently as this morning.

Longtime Bangor Daily News sports writer Larry Mahoney was apart of the 2025 induction class, and rightfully so.

This year marks his 52nd at the BDN, as the 71 year old has devoted his life to bringing you all the local sports coverage from Maine Hockey to Legion Baseball and everything in between. That lifetime of work has earned him this honor.
