ORCHARD PARK - Despite Josh Allen having one of the most explosive arms in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills have not utilized it much at the start of the season as their passing offense - dare we say - has become a dink and dunk attack.
Obviously, the Bills are doing just fine on offense as they have scored 102 points which is fourth-most in the league, Allen is completing nearly 70% of his passes with five TDs and no turnovers, and he has been, in terms of the expected points added efficiency metric, second only to Daniel Jones of the Colts through three weeks.
The lack of downfield throwing has been glaring, but the 3-0 Bills have not needed Allen to air it out because he has been so effective getting the ball into the hands of his targets and then letting them do their thing.
