FARMINGDALE, Long Island (WABC) -- Some residents on Long Island are cashing in on the surge of golf fans flocking to Bethpage Black for the Ryder Cup, with some selling parking spaces in their driveway, and others listing their homes.

Fans have to park somewhere if they drive to the Ryder Cup, and with nearby residential areas completely closed to non-residents, long-time homeowners in Farmingdale got to thinking of ways to make use of the opportunity.

"They're all doing it. She's doing it. The whole block is doing it," said Farmingdale homeowner Ken Amato.

Residents are advertising on sites like Facebook and renting out parking spaces in their driveways. Amato can fit four each day if he gets them.

"Especially if the weather gets nice, this place is going to be crazy," Amato said.
