Before the green-and-white banner was raised over the Brockville Railway Tunnel, local MP Michael Barrett, MPP Steve Clark and Brockville Mayor Matt Wren all made much-appreciated efforts to speak in what was not their native tongue. Wren noted his participation in last-year’s flag-raising event inspired him to learn French.
The three dignitaries saluted the presence of a vibrant Franco-Ontarian community in Brockville and the area, most visib
