COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - It’s a case that’s haunted the Midlands for more than three decades.
Dail Dinwiddie, a 23-year-old USC graduate student, vanished after a U2 concert in Columbia in 1992. She hasn’t been seen since. Since then, investigators have combed through thousands of tips, but there have been no concrete leads.
WIS traveled to Atlanta, where we spoke with her brother, who says that after years of hoping, the family has accepted that Dail may no longer be alive.
“Um, do I think she’s probably passed away? Yes. Does it feel comfortable to speak about her in the past tense? No,” said Drew Dinwiddie, brother of Dail Dinwiddie.
“It’s just, we just don’t have the closure. It just feels wrong. I don’t know what happened to her.”
