BEREA, Ohio -- A Lodi woman, 33, faces criminal charges after she tried to steal her boyfriend’s phone, chased him in the street and broke into his house on East Bridge Street.

The man said his girlfriend was upset over other women contacting him.

They argued and he ordered her to leave the house. She refused and demanded to see his phone so that she could learn who had been calling and texting him.

The man would not surrender his phone and the argument escalated.

His girlfriend chased him out of the house and into the street in an attempt to grab his phone. A witness saw the woman running after the man in the middle of the street.

The man darted back into his house and locked the door. The woman banged on and damaged the door frame.
