A 19-year-old man was arrested after police say he opened fire on another driver during a road rage incident along Highway 169.
Tulsa police said the shooting happened around 6:20 a.m. Sept. 9 near 36th Street North. Investigators said the victim reported that a driver in a Chevy flashed his lights, passed him and then fired several rounds into his Honda.
The victim’s car was hit multiple times, but he was not injured, according to police. He followed the suspect to a QuikTrip, where officers arrested the driver.
Police identified the suspect as Luke Hendrix. Officers said Hendrix admitted to shooting at the victim, telling investigators he believed the other driver was trying to run him off the road.
A gun and four shell casings were recovered from Hendrix’s vehicle, police said.
