New Orleans police have made an arrest in connection with last week's killing of a man in the Marigny .

The New Orleans Police Department said New Orleans Police Violent Offender Warrant Squad officers, Louisiana State Police and the US Marshal's Service found Coleman Vickers, 42, near Saint Claude Avenue and the Industrial Canal on Thursday. He was taken into custody and booked on a count of second-degree murder and by Louisiana State Police on unspecified charges related to the arrest.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office has previously identified the man shot and killed in the 2100 block of Decatur at 3 a.m. on Sept. 14 as Michael Burks, 44.

The NOPD did not say what evidence connected Vickers to the shooting.
