COLCHESTER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont's senior senator says he wants to see "Jimmy Kimmel Live" return to the Green Mountain State.
On Thursday he sent an open letter to Nexstar Chief Executive Officer Perry Sook, calling the decision to preempt the show "absolutely unacceptable."
The comedian's suspension from ABC was lifted earlier this week, with his show returning Tuesday night in certain markets.
Nexstar and Sinclair media groups both announced that stations they operate would not show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" despite ABC’s decision. The area covered includes the entire state of Vermont.
In his letter to Nexstar's CEO, Sanders writes in part:
