LINCOLN, Neb. ( Nebraska Athletics ) - Nebraska’s Rudy Sautron captured the second Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week award of his career when the conference announced its weekly honor on Thursday.

Sautron, a junior from Reunion Island, France, smashed the Nebraska tournament record with a three-round total of 200 (-13) on his way to a share of the individual title at the Git-R-Done Invitational at Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln (Sept. 22-23). His final-round 64 (-7) on the par-71, 7,102-yard layout at Firethorn matched the best round by a junior in school history ( Brady Schnell , 2005-06) and was just one stroke off his own school-record 63 (-9) set last year at the Steelwood Collegiate in Alabama.
