Middletown South secured its second win in Shore Conference Tournament Group 1 pool play with a 2-1 triumph over Neptune in Neptune.

Connor Saul scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season for Middletown South. Jack Cohen scored the other.

Dominic O’Neill scored in the first half for Neptune.

Neptune goalie Javier Gordon recorded 12 saves in the loss.

Middletown South is 5-3. The Eagles will face St. John Vianney on Saturday before their next Shore Conference Tournament game against Red Bank Regional on Oct. 1.

Neptune’s record is 2-5 as it drops to 0-2 in Shore Conference Tournament Group 1 pool play.
