BECKER — Briana Blasing continued her ascent to the top by winning the Becker Invite Thursday, Sept. 25, with a time of 20:37.5.

Blasing’s win, along with a 13th-place finish from Audreanna Hines, a 15th from Danika Ramler, a 16th from Eva Traut and a 17th from Inga Auel helped the Brainerd girls to third.

Taiden Meier’s 19th-place 18:06.9 was the difference between second and third for the Brainerd boys as he outscored Rockford’s No. 6 runner.

Brainerd and Rockford tied with 52 points after the first five runners scored. The tiebreaker went to Brainerd’s sixth runner, Meier, who bettered Rockford’s No. 6 runner by five places and almost 30 seconds.
