FOLEY — Chloe Skwira ran a first-place 22:34.1 to lead the Pierz Pioneers girls to first Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Foley Falcon Invite.

Skwira was followed by Morgan Litke’s third-place 23:01.3. Erin Thesing finished eighth, with Addison Pryzbilla in ninth and Clara Tax 16th for Pierz’s 21 team points.

Staples-Motley, running without defending state champion Aubrey Brownell, didn’t qualify for the team standings, but saw Suhaila Mikhaeil finish second in 22:55.39. Elise Trif was sixth, Lizzie Kroll 10th and Madelyn Kist 15th.

Caden Lucking’s 11th-place 19:39.0 paced the Pierz boys to third. Daniel Niznik was 12th, Joel Marshik 14th and Alex Sebasky 15th.

Andrew Dobson’s sixth-place 19:00.9 led the Cardinals boys to fourth. Gage Bjerga was seventh and Garrett Bjerga was 10th.
