TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Arizona State University is looking to improve the fan experience, and that could be by using facial recognition technology that officials hope will reduce wait times at Mountain America Stadium.

An ASU spokesperson said that this is currently just a technology being explored for the future.

Some students have jumped at the idea. “Something else we students care about as well is how fast we can get in there and get food or whatever and watch a good game,” said one senior on the ASU softball team.

“Honestly, I would. It would make things faster,” said Evan, an ASU student.
