(KRON) -- Commuters are urged to avoid the area as San Jose firefighters try to contain a fire Thursday evening at an apartment complex.

The blaze broke out at 5:11 p.m. on the 5000 block of David Avenue, according to the San Jose Fire Department.

Officials say there are three residential units affected at the time. There are so far no reports of any injuries.

The cause and origin of the fire have not yet been determined.

SJFD says traffic is currently stalled in the area of David Avenue between Winchester Boulevard and Monica Lane due to the incident.
