PEARL RIVER CO., Miss. (WLOX) - On Thursday, officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol identified 22-year-old Bri’Anna Cameron of Poplarville as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle collision in Pearl River County.

Troopers were called to the scene of the crash around 6:45 a.m. Investigators say Cameron was driving a 2019 Ford Explorer heading south on Highway 43. For reasons currently unknown, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

As a result, Cameron sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
