The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Coconino County, including the Flagstaff area, starting at 3:22 p.m. Sept. 25. The warning expired at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 25.

2nd warning issued for northern Arizona

At 5:50 p.m., the weather service wrote:

"The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for, Coconino County in north central Arizona, Navajo County in north central Arizona, Until 6:15 p.m. MST. At 5:40 p.m. MST, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of Heber-Overgaard, or 8 miles northeast of Forest Lakes, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD: Half-dollar size hail.
