OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Millard South quarterback Jett Thomalla is rewriting the record books, but you wouldn’t necessarily know it by how he carries himself.

“I never really thought about it too much,” Thomalla said.

Before kickoff in last week’s matchup against Millard North, head coach Taylor Mendenhall broke the news.

“He didn’t even know about it until about three hours before kickoff,” Mendenhall said. “I said, ‘Hey, by the way, when and if you throw your fourth tonight, it’ll be a new record.’”

Thomalla’s fourth touchdown pass of the night gave him 94 for his career, breaking the NSAA Class A state record previously held by Papillion-La Vista’s Alec DiToro since 2013.
