DULUTH — Described by head coach Dustin Randall as a “rock” on the Cloquet-Carlton backline, defender Tanique Moose’s game is all about dependability.
Since her eighth-grade season in 2022, Moose has taken the role and run with it as a vital member of three state tournament teams over her varsity career.
Now in her junior season, Moose has added a leadership element to her game as a veteran on the Cloquet-Carlton defensive corps.
“I’ve stepped up (in) a leadership position, and both my passing and communicating with my teammates and the confidence just have grown with it,” said Moose.
The confidence was apparent in Cloquet-Carlton’s 1-0 victory over Duluth Marshall on Thursday as the Hilltoppers struggled to penetrate the Lumberjacks’ backline.
