A Topgolf-like facility, rumored for Perrysburg for the last year — on land that underwent a controversial zoning change — has fallen through, according to a city official.
After Thursday’s planning commission meeting, Brody Walters, Perrysburg planning and zoning administrator, was asked for an update on the project. He said it was “done.”
“It’s a finance issue,” Mr. Walters said, adding that he received notice through Bethel Assembly of God, which owns the 24 acres behind Costco off Eckel Junction Road, in late August.
The developer could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday night.
The 42,000-square-foot facility was expected to have 58 golf bays and an 18-hole putt-putt course. It was anticipated to be a destination recreation space, drawing visitors from around the regio
