AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Hoodoo Mural Festival is happening this weekend at Arts in the Sunset.

It's the festival's sixth year, and it's being held at Arts in the Sunset for the first time. Executive Director for Amarillo Art Institute, Rachel Flores, shared that the festival will still have two stages, live music, and muralists, with an added twist to provide a hands-on experience.

"Since we are an art school, an art space, we wanted to have a little bit more for people to do when they come," said Flores. "So, we'll have button making and screen printing. But we've also got kind of this crazy, wild mini mural city that people can kind of paint their own stuff on, and then we have a pendulum pour that'll be like an acrylic pour that people can swing back and forth."
