(NewsNation) — Dua Lipa shut down a Daily Mail report claiming she fired her agent for signing a letter urging a festival organizer to drop a rap group over its pro-Palestinian views.
The singer and her talent agency, WME, called the story "categorically false,” according to the BBC.
The Daily Mail reported that Lipa fired her agent, David Levy, for signing the letter to prevent the Irish rap group Kneecap from performing at Glastonbury, alleging they were spreading antisemitism.
The Grammy award winner pushed back against this claim, saying that while she does not support Levy signing the letter silencing Kneecap, he stopped working with her in 2019, and she says the story was “deliberately inflammatory."
