NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Dozens of community members came together for a ceremony commemorating the National Day of Remembrance for Homicide Victims in North Charleston on Thursday night.

Hosted by the Survivors of Homicide Support Group, the event provided many families affected by homicide a safe space for healing and reflection. Survivors were also invited to bring a small photo of their loved one to the ceremony. The event featured prayers, a poem reading, and a chance for everyone to say the name of the person they lost.
