Owen Sound’s pesky winger was the overtime hero in London last week and scored the shootout winner in Barrie Thursday night as the Owen Sound Attack edged the Barrie Colts 2-1 inside the Sadlon Arena. Article content Article content
Therrien spoiled a career-best 50-save effort by Colts goaltender Ben Hrebik, who looked unbeatable for most of the night.
The Courtice kid was Owen Sound’s fourth shooter in the skill contest. Hrebik stoned the previous three. Boos rained down as the former North Bay Battalion skated slowly into the zone and calmly lifted a shot over Hrebik’s shoulder.
“It felt unreal. I was getting chirped pretty well all game, so it was definitely nice to get that one,” Therrien said.
