BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. —

A Bullitt County man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug trafficking.

Shepherdsville Police say Albert Sweet, 58, of Shepherdsville, pleaded guilty to trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday.

Sweet’s arrest was part of a month’s month-long operation to disrupt the flow of narcotics into and around Bullitt County, police say.

The operation was led by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, which worked with Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, Homeland Security Investigations, Louisville Metro Police Department, and the Shepherdsville Police Department.

According to court records, Sweet was also convicted in 2024 for trafficking methamphetamine and fleeing police and was released
