Deputies lasso hulking, 6-foot gator in resident's yard, wrestle it into cruiser

Wild drone footage caught a pair of Florida deputies lassoing a wily alligator in a local’s yard and throwing it in the back of their cop cruiser, all in a day’s work.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was called to the residence after the 6-foot gator was spotted lurking right outside the front door, according to the clip shared by the office last Saturday. 3

The hulking reptile tried to dodge the cops by crawling behind bushes and then heading into the back yard, the video shows.

Both officers were armed with makeshift lassos and one hooked theirs around the gator’s neck once it settled in a patch of dead grass in the backyard. The alligator immediately snapped its jaws at the man, before going stock-still as it evaluated its next move.
